''Historico-philological journal'' is a four-month, multilingual, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, periodical representing Armenology (founded in 1958). Many generations of Armenologists living in Armenia and abroad have been published in the periodical. Till 1999, M. G. Nersisyan, Аcademician of NAS of RA, was the founder-editor of the ''Historico-philological journal''. In 1999, V. A. Mikayelyan, Аcademician of NAS of RA, was elected chief editor of the periodical and in 2006, S. B. Harutiunyan, corresponding member of NAS of RA, took the position. From 2018 to the present day, the chief editor of the ''Historico-philological journal'' is A. H. Zakaryan, Doctor of Philology.
